How does it all work?
What to expect when you book a family shoot
Frequently Asked Questions
• How do we book you?
Booking is really easy. Simply drop me an email and we will find a date for your family session. A £75 booking deposit is due on the day of the booking to secure your date and current prices. The deposit is non-refundable. The final balance for your session is due on the day of your photo shoot.
• What happens next?
Next, I will ask you to complete a family questionnaire to help me get to know your family and what you are looking for from your images. We will have a chat via phone or email to come up with a plan for your session and where to take your images. I will also send you my family guide with top tips for getting ready and what happens after the session.
• Where do we take the images?
Your family session can take place anywhere you like and I always suggest somewhere you enjoy spending time as a family. This may be on the beach, in a park, in your home or anywhere else you would like to go. Some locations require that photography permission is granted before your family shoot and may also charge a small location fee. If this applies to your session I will let you know.
• How far do you travel?
I am based in Midlothian and cover Edinburgh, the Lothians, central Scotland and the Scottish Borders. Travel up to 30 miles is included in the session, thereafter I charge a small travel fee of 45p / mile. Parking, public transport and accommodation if required is charged at cost.
• When will we see our images?
The images from your family shoot will be individually edited and ready for you to see after ca 2-3 weeks. So, get ready to receive a link to your online gallery to view, share and download your images.
• Do you offer gift vouchers?
I do and these are great gifts for family and friends. If you are interested in booking a gift voucher just get in touch.
• What if it rains?
Do not worry. If the weather is not on our side we can easily switch to a home session, find an alternative date OR layer up and brave the elements. Rainy sessions can be amazing.
• Is there anything we should think about?
My family sessions are super relaxed with a focus on MAKING you laugh and smile, not asking you to smile. I want to capture natural and genuine family moments instead of perfect poses. If this sounds like what you are looking for, get touch and let's chat!
